“Every national of a Member State shall be a citizen of the Union. Citizenship of the Union shall be additional to and not replace national citizenship” (art. 9 TEU). In the field of Union citizenship, our research covers political, economic and social rights of European citizens and, more precisely, the rights of patients, but also the links between nationality and citizenship within the Area of freedom, security and justice.
