As a graduate having completed her studies in general law first (with a focus on the German and French legal systems) before specializing in European law at Universities whose high academic standing has been developing for over 600 years, Isabell Büschel obtained her PhD in public law in 2009 at Université Paul Cézanne in Aix-en-Provence, France. More… She has been practising European law for public and private institutions in four different European countries: France, Germany, Luxemburg and Switzerland. More… Her expertise covers several subjects in the fields of institutional and substantial EU law, as well as the law of the Council of Europe. Participating in the most effective enforcement of fundamental rights and liberties within the Internal Market and the European Area of Freedom, Security and Justice is at the core of her activities. More… Having been awarded several distinctions and being a member of selected expert groups, her day-to-day business consists of carrying out research missions and teaching at Universities within the borders of Europe but also beyond. Thanks to the right to free movement of persons and the principle of mutual recognition it is possible to first study in one EU Member State while being a national of another Member State, then hold a job position in a third country. |
